Today we’ll be doing a live Q&A / AMA (ask me anything) on our Youtube channel at 9 PM Eastern / 6 PM Pacific. Nasim and I will both be there to take questions for about an hour.
Update: The livestream is over, thanks to everyone for participating! Below is the video of the livestream:
If there’s anything you’ve wanted to ask us about photography, running a website, making videos, or anything else, now’s your chance! We’ll be recording and uploading the Q&A when we finish, so if you can’t watch it on time, you can still do so after the fact.
In the meantime, start brainstorming questions. We’ll try to answer as many as possible, but we may not get to all of them in the hour. We likely will do more Q&As like this in the future, though, so you’ll have more chances later if we don’t get to your question.
If you want to subscribe to our channel to receive updates and notifications when we post videos like this, you can do so here. Note – you also need to click the “bell” icon below any of our videos, or Youtube is unlikely to send out the notification properly:
I have a question for Nasim:
Do you ever use the Olympus system?
You published great reviews for Z6 and Z7. Are you considering similar review for Nikon Z50?
I would really appreciate it.
Top notch, gentlemen
Please tell me how to get rid of the floating image showing a slideshow if the top articles. I check out your site daily and love it but this is very distracting.
Diane, there should be nothing floating. Can you let me know what device and browser you are using?
Thanks!
1) Is still photgraphy getting to its use by date as the industry is mooving to more video
2) whats the reall reason nikon went to the larger lens mount
1) Camera manufacturers are adding more video features, but that’s not impacting still photography in any way. You cannot take a still shot from a video and use it – it is not practical. Maybe one day, when we all have cameras that can shoot 14-bit RAW video, and even then, your shutter speed and other factors are going to come into play.
2) Mount flexibility – I described it in the video.
Nasim and Spencer – it was great to see you all in person. Enjoyed your live feed and learn a bit about your personalities. Well done – and I’m a Sony shooter! :-)
David, thank you for your feedback!
No hard feelings LOL :)
Hi Spencer, I am subscribed to the PL channel. However, for some reason the notification bell is turned off saying that they do that for content made for kids. That makes no sense to me, because my understanding is that PL’s content is aimed at adults (in the usual sense of that word, i.e. not meaning adult content). Is there some way to turn the notification bell back on?
Elaine, I just tested this on my computer and it worked. I think your YouTube settings are preventing you from doing this – you must have enabled age restrictions on your side…
Nasim,
I’ve never been a youtube subscriber before. Can you tell me how I might have done that? I had looked around my settings before I wrote, and could find nothing about age restrictions to change.
Nasim, I got the brilliant idea to unsubscribe and resubscribe, and poof! the problem is gone. I don’t get it, but whatever works. :)
Elaine, glad it worked out at the end!
I would love to participate in a future q and a!
Levi, make sure you subscribe and click the bell to get notifications!
I updated the post above with the video of our live stream.
