Although we are still a few weeks away from the big holiday sales in the USA, a number of camera manufacturers have already started their instant rebate programs. Nikon has started their popular instant lens rebate program, while Fuji has gone big on their GFX medium format sales, offering rebates up to $1,000 when bundling the GFX 50S with a lens, or up to $550 per lens when buying GF lenses individually. Fuji is also offering some X-series deals on lenses, but they are not as attractive as the ones we had previously seen in the past. Lastly, Olympus is offering a great rebate program as well, with instant rebates up to $200 on their gear such as the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and other popular lenses. Below are some of the best deals we recommend to our readers.
While the previous Nikon camera and lens rebates are now over, Nikon has just introduced a few more lens-only rebates. The list of lenses has changed considerably this time, probably based on demand. Interestingly, Nikon included the recently announced Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR as part of this rebate program (see my in-depth review) with $200 off its MSRP, just like the 24-70mm f/2.8E VR last time. It is definitely not normal for Nikon to include such new lenses in its rebates – this shows just how much pressure Nikon is getting from third party lens manufacturers. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from this rebate program.
Most camera manufacturers are currently offering a number of deals and rebates this summer to promote their products. Nikon has already been promoting its DSLRs with instant rebates and free camera grips and now new lens-only rebates are added to the list. Fuji has also extended a number of instant rebates for its APS-C cameras like Fuji X-T2 with a free grip option, in addition to other cash rebates. Other manufacturers like Sony and Sigma are also offering great rebates for their camera gear. To sweeten up the deals, B&H is also pitching in their part by giving 2% back in rewards. Below you will find the best deals we could find for our readers from these manufacturers.
Starting from this week, many US retailers will be having special holiday sales for cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, various accessories and other photo gear. Instead of spamming our readers with constant deal alerts, I decided to create a single page where we will be hosting the best deals that are available as of now. The page is called “Current Deals” and it is accessible from the top navigation of this site, right next to “Contact Us”. So far I posted some great deals on the Nikon D600, third party lenses from Sigma and Tamron, Memory card deals and more.
