The Nikon J2 indeed has a 2-shot HDR mode, but typical for the camera it’s hard to access- You have to use the Creative Control Backlighting mode, and then enable HDR in the menu. It will take 2 shots and blend them together.
I really wish there was a 120 or 200 FPS slow motion mode with say 720p resolution. The 400 FPS is really too small in size.

There’s a new offer at amazon which sell this camera at the price of $300 for single lens kit and $439 for double lens kit. Is it now worth buying or you think this is still overpriced? If we can disregard price factor out of the equation (if you say the new price from amazon still a bit overpriced) what do you really think of this camera? Is it a capable camera? Or maybe i should consider other mft system? Please give me advise. Cheers
Anthony, Amazon has $350 for the 2 lens kit on J2 today. Also you get 4% rewards cash back. So effectively you are paying $336 for a 2 lens kit. Surely not a bad deal at all, especially for the spouse or young teenager interested in photography.

Thanks for the review. My question is: The time lapse allows up to 999 shots, but the battery only lasts for 230? How does that work? Do you have to change the battery over three times to get the complete time lapse function? Thanks.

thanks for the reviews of the nikon 1 series.
since my coolpix4500 has died on me my currently owned d70s goes along with me most of the time. on my search for a smaller lighter camera for everyday use i came along the nikon 1 series. from what i’ve seen the photos from the one series look very nice. and also representating what i am photographing, animals at the zoo, landscapes, european wildlife, my dog in action.
now the problem with family of nikon 1 occors, the differences between them are relatively small. i am deciding between the nikon v1 and nikon j2 and for my use purposes the 10-30 and 30-110 zoom lenses. then maybe buy the adapter ring for mounting my nikkor 50 1.8 lens later.
which of the two cameras would suit me more?
maybe another brand, no sony please, and within the same prize range of these two cameras i just cant afford olympus om-d-em5 or leica for instance.

Detail review. I like it I’m now waiting for a review of 1 NIKKOR 18.5mm f/1.8 Pls make it. Thanks :)
The photos you took using a Nikon 1 J2 looks very nice. I have a Nikon 1 J1 with 2 lens 10-30 and 30-110. It’s hard for me to take good portrait photos in the night or indoor using these 2 lens. That’s why I am waiting for your review of 1 NIKKOR 18.5mm f/1.8 because I’m going to buy it :)
It would be great if you could share some tips when taking photos using Nikon 1 camera in some situations :)

Hi Nasim, eight months 24 MP DX – review, review where are you…
Michael, guilty as charged! Too much gear, too little time :( My list of “to-do”s is just getting out of control… I promise, I will get better at this. Thank you for your patience!

“Aluminum (Front Plate) vs Metal (Front Plate)” Instead of ‘metal’ do you mean steel?
