Mr. Mansurov,

Will you be doing a review of the Fujifilm X-T20? I am curious about how that stacks up with other mirrorless cameras. I am told it sports the same sensor as the X-T2.

Nasim:

Great review – as always. I always enjoy your write-ups.
I know I am quite late coming to this review (18 months?), I hope you are still reading comments.
I have been wanting a tough, quality APS-C system with good IQ for backpacking landscapes. I had first looked the Sony line-up and read many reviews and frankly, while people liked the bodies (e.g., 6300), the discussions on lenses was disappointing – especially the problems with the (expensive) zony 16-70 which would have been a perfect fit for my uses. Then I came to the Fuji X-T2. Looks like exactly what I am looking for. However, and this is my question to you, there is a lot of discussion about working with the Fuji RAF files, especially in Lightroom. Its hard to tell how much of these issues are related to older versions of Lightroom, and whether Adobe has adequately addressed these.
So – when you use your X-T2, which programs are you using in PP?
Thanks so much – Doug

Not sure if you permitted this, but I just saw this review on the following web site (www.photographycam.com/blog/…t2-review/). Hopefully, they’re not just stealing it.

Hello Nasim
I’m a great fan (from France) of your website, for all that it contains. Thank you!
May be this is not the right place to post this but : do you plan to make a review of the Leica Q (it was mentionned in this thread). It might be interesting to have your opinion on this strange camera (that i plan to buy, may be…may be not…)
Thanks and best regards
Merci

Hello,
I’ve recently bought a X-T2. I’ve also bought a MI 20000mah powerbank2 to charge the camera battery but little bit confused about the charging. I want to know that charging the battery in camera with the powerbank will do any harm to the battery or camera? Kindly help me.Thank you.

Nasim,

Great review! I will take your advice and try the X-T2. In fact, I plan on renting it for my cousin’s wedding to see how I like the compactness compared to my D750. But, I do have one question for you or anyone else. With the amount of money we’re talking about, would you recommend the X-T2 or a 24-70mm f2.8 lens for my D750? I’ve been eyeing the new Sigma coming out soon and that’s my biggest dilemma. The X-T2 will be great when I travel, lighter than my D750. But, the D750 w/the 24-70mm will be great to travel, although heavier, and I can also use it for my portrait photography. I appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

Dear Nasim Mansurov:

Hi!, In the D810 Review rating is 5, but I own a D810 and I do not be full satisfy, I feel the images is going to yellow, I had a D600 in the past and I think that the colors were better. Actually I have a X-E1 and is a fantastic device!
I am thinking to change my D810 for a X-T2, but it is some complicate!
I will like some advice regard to.

Kind Regards

The water in the picture with the flower in the foreground and the lake in the background, looks a very strange blue colour. I don’t like that at all if these are the “famous ” Fuji colours. I see this sometimes allso in the blue of the sky, it is just not a natural blue for water or sky. Can this have something to do with post processing ?

I live here in New Zealand, believe me, it exactly looks like in real life as it is on the picture. :)

Nasim:

Thank you for this excellent review of the XT-2 (and many others).
I appreciate all the knowledgeable articles on Photography Life by your yourself and all the contributors.

I have a Nikon D300s, and use Lightroom (5.7) for my workflow. After reading the reviews here, I am
seriously considering adding a Fuji system. However, I don’t know if LR can make good use of Fuji raw files.

You mentioned above you use Lightroom in your workflow.
Could you expand on on a typical Lightroom workflow you would use for Fuji raw files.
Is it treated any differently because it’s not a Bayer pattern. Are there any issues/gotchas
in using LR for Fuji files.

Is it worth buying Capture One Pro if I get a Fuji XT-2 ?

Thanks.
K.Q.

I’m certainly not a pro but I don’t see any issues using LR with Fuji raw. I use the uncompressed setting as someone recommended. And the jpg shots are so good they hardly need tweaking. I hardly use the D500 since acquiring the XT2. It might be on the way out, especially since Nikon just had another recall on the D750 shutter issue and the newly released 70-300 was not quite what I’d hoped for (a gold ring fixed f/4, even at a slightly higher price).
