Photo Spot Details
The Isle of Harris, with some exceptions, is a sunset rather than sunrise location. The winds on the isle can be fierce, so a good, firm tripod is essential, and fitting spikes to the legs is probably a good idea. This shot was taken at about 8pm in May: 70mm, 1/13sec at f.16. The weather is often harsh in winter and unpredictable at other times, but those are the reasons the photographer will enjoy perfect peace.
