Simply go the Mt Royal Park in Montreal. Follow the trails and climb up the 400 stairs until you reach the belvedere Kondiaronk at the top. You'll find a large terrace with a very good view on the cityscape.

This is the most famous and visited hilltop park in Montreal. Once you have climbed up the 400 stairs, you’ll find a very large terrace with an overlook on the cityscape. The belvedere is very large, so finding a spot on the fence is very easy, and tripod are allowed. The park is beautiful anytime of the year.
