From Foggy Bottom Metro Station, walk down 19th street towards the Lincoln Memorial. From there, just walk towards the Washington Monument and past that, towards Capitol Hill.
Photo Spot Details
I know this may be a redundant post but just wanted to throw in my photos of the National Mall. I don’t think you can ever get enough of the National Mall and all of its glories. Tripods are allowed in all areas of the National Mall except for the White House. As a matter of fact you can’t even get anywhere near the White House these days due to some embarrassing debacles by the Secret Services in the last year or so.
The area is well traveled throughout the day and night so safety is not much of an issue. However, if you’re out late at night and have to return home somehow by public transit, be cautious because some criminals may catch you off guard. D.C. is not exactly a safe area in general.
