Photo Spot Details

Endless snaking roads and hairpin turns await the avid driver on this mountain peak. It is the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates at 1900m. There are routine stops along the way with rest stops. The views are humbling from so high and one has to be careful as it is still under construction and the borders are not quite complete. A good heavy weighted down tripod is essential as it can get quite windy at those heights. An ultra wide angle with anti haze filters is a must to take in the vast expense of roads and rocky mountains. The best time to capture the color variations of the sand blasted hills and the reddish soil is during sunset. There are no lights yet so its best to drive down as soon as the sun has almost set.
