Global Village

Directions

Global Village is a permanent attraction located approximaly 35 kilometers from the center of Dubai. Public transport is available from the Union Metro Station and Ghubaiba Metro station and takes approximately 30 minutes from 3:15pm until 11:15pm. The Village is open to public from the beginning of May to the mid of April. These times can vary by weather and other factors, so do make sure to check their website before visiting.

The Global Village is a massive exhibition that covers over 16.5 million square foot of space just a few kilometers from the City of Dubai. The village contains colour exhibits, performances and shops from multiple regions of the world. The architecture for each of the pavillions is what makes the attraction so unique as well as the constant on going performances (Acrobatic, fight performances, dances, etc). Every night there are fireworks for the duraition of the Dubai Shopping Festival. The village is very crowded so be careful setting up a tripod. A good fast lens is a must for people or street photography and be very selective about your subjects as people in this part of the world take their privacy very seriously.
