The great basilica in Washington D.C. If you’re into church architecture, this place is a must. Beautiful stained glasses, grand chapel, the whole package. Tripod and flash are NOT allowed. BUT! you can take one of those Joby Gorilla pods and get away with taking pictures. That’s how I took most of these pictures.

You might want to visit on a weekday. Gets very crowded with tourists and congregation starting Friday night. Also, the Pope is scheduled to visit in September so that will be a HUGE event!
