Directions
Santorin’s Lighthouse is located at the southern tip of the island near the ancient city Akrotiri. At the end of the road you can either continue by foot to the very edge of the cliff, or you can turn left and walk a small path and see the lighthouse and the island as well for the perfect sunset shot.GPS info ( 36°21'27.5"N 25°21'29.0"E )
Photo Spot Details
The southern Akrotiri of Santorin is one of the most beautiful locations of the island and its not as popular as Oia. The good news is that there are very few people during the sunset getting in the way of your shot. A perfect time to visit the island is during the spring because of the clearer atmospheric conditions, the occasionally cloud coverage adding some color the composition (during the summer there are almost no clouds). A sturdy tripod is essential because of the strong winds.
Santorini is a very photographed island but most of the photographs are basically from the same spots so if one wants to explore a lie can find unique and very interesting spots.
