Nikon Z 400mm f/2.8 Development Announcement
It wouldn’t be a Nikon announcement day without at least one development announcement! This time it’s for the long-awaited 400mm f/2.8 telephoto prime. Nikon says this lens will have a built-in 1.4x teleconverter, turning it into a 560mm f/4.
Two Nikon Z Lenses Announced: 24-120mm f/4 and 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6
Alongside the years-in-the-making announcement of Nikon’s flagship Z9 mirrorless camera, the company also unveiled two lenses from the Z-series roadmap: a Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S and a Nikon Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S. Nikon says the two lenses will be available within this year.

Canon RF 16mm f/2.8 and 100-400mm f/5.6-8 Announcements
Today, alongside the big EOS R3 announcement, Canon announced two new lenses for their RF mirrorless mount: a 16mm f/2.8 and a 100-400mm f/5.6-8. Both aim to be lightweight and portable (at least for their type of lens) and pretty inexpensive at $300 and $650 apiece. They ship in October.
Nikon Z 40mm f/2 Formally Announced + Pre-Order Links
A few months after announcing its development in June, today Nikon formally announced the compact Z-series 40mm f/2 lens and revealed its full specifications. The lens will go on sale “later this fall” according to Nikon, with a suggested retail price of $300.
Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 IS Announced
