I promised you a flood of vivid colours from the (neo)tropics of Ecuador. But the image I shared with you in the last Photography News was completely black and white, so I'll try to fix it now. I guess I'll never get tired of photographing hummingbirds. Their frenetic activity at...

Nikon Z Is Getting a 70-300mm Lens! (From Tamron)
Tamron has announced their first-ever lens for the Nikon Z system (not counting the Nikon Z 28-75mm f/2.8 that was… heavily inspired, let’s say, by Tamron’s version of the lens). It’s a 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3, the same as their existing Sony E lens, and it fills one of the most glaring holes in Nikon’s lens lineup.

Photography News: Manual Focus Mirrorless Lenses, OM-5 Rumors
Summer is often linked with traveling, and traveling, in turn, with photography. Right now, I'm starting to pack for an expedition to Ecuador, with the help of a packing list that I keep updated over time. Some of the items on the list are expected, some less so. For example, without...
Photography News: A Wave Of New Lenses
When photographers talk about "natural light" in photography, we're usually referring to the sun. But the gift of light has also been given to some fascinating organisms that inhabit the planet. In the south of Europe, in Croatia, I encountered one of them a few days ago. The female glow-worm...
