Corey, that’s great! Assuming you live in Amman, you would be able to save on lodging when we are going to be staying in Amman to visit nearby sites like the Citadel and Jerash. The rest of the locations are pretty far off (Petra, Dead Sea and the Red Sea), so we will be staying there. Are you only interested in the Jordan part of the workshop, or do you want to join us for Dubai as well?

Nasim – just a comment…your Death Valley workshop is specific about physical demands, but the Jordan/Dubai trip does not.

Lynn,

With Dubai and Jordan workshop we are not going to do very intensive hiking. Petra is a bit tough to get to, but one can take carriage back and forth for a fee. I would say the climb to the Monastery is quite tough, but we had people simply bail out of that one before. As long as you are stable on your feet and can do moderate distances, you will be good.

Death Valley has some serious hikes to Badwater, Mesquite and Eureka dunes, so it can be pretty intense.

Nasim, I’d love to go to Jordan again. I was there 1999 and visited many places amongst Kerak and Petra. I spent the day in Petra from sunrise to sunset. I had no camera with me, can one believe that. Mobile phones were phones only back then. I do not regret this. I have the whole still very much in memory. Still, I’d love to be there again, this time with my camera. I still know some spots I’d go to take wonderful pictures. I wish you all another great experience! Have fun!
Cheers! -jan

Jan, come and join us then! This time we will be doing some cityscapes and dune photography in Dubai, so you will probably visit even more places than before. It is an unforgettable, one of a kind experience!

As much as I loved to, but my two still young kids need me to stay with them. Maybe in a few years. I’d very much like to see the outcome of your journey.
