Note error in the MTF chart — this graphic is for a different lens, the wide 20mm f/2.8, not for the normal 50mm f/2.8 macro.
I assume (hope) that the 50mm f/2.8 macro is much much sharper (70-90% MTF at 30 lp/mm way out on the lens periphery)
