I borrowed another 10 mm prime from a friend and became addicted to the look of wide angle landscapes and architecture. That put me on the look for a wide angle zoom and I looked at several. I settled on this after reviewing the results of many shots on sites like flikr and reading the reviews on how well this lens handled flare given that I like to take sunrises.

I have not been disappointed. I really enjoy using this lens and it is either on the camera or in the bag. I love the sharpness of the shots and the way it handles the sunrises even wide open. I also enjoy taking architecture shots indoor in low light as well as outdoor and I have not been disappointed.

I use this lens on a D7200 Nikon and it performs very well.

I rented this lens two years ago to photograph a stage event. I was so pleased with it that I thought maybe I should buy it. Problem is, I remembered it as a Canon lens and quickly concluded that I couldn’t afford it so I decided to rent again. When I went back to my online rental account I saw that it was actually this Sigma lens. So I decided to go shopping again. It will be delivered today.

This lens gave me excellent results for a low light performance of a costume play. I used the full zoom range and almost exclusively at F3.5. No noticeable depth of field issues at the distances I was focusing.
