Lens Description: The Rodenstock 55mm for 4.5 Apo-Grandagon Lens is a professional wide angle lens specifically for the 4 x 5 film format, providing an angle of view which is similar to a 15mm lens on a 35mm camera. The Apo-Grandagon is the ideal \'space expander\' lens when you\'re trying to capture an expansive area of a cramped space.rnrnThe 110° angle of coverage permits 6mm of shifts in all directions, particularly beneficial when capturing a building from ground level. The Apo-Grandagon series lenses use ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass elements for truly apochromatic color correction and superior edge delineation. This lens is recommended for use between f/8 and f/11 apertures, which helps shorten the exposure times.

Have owned this lens for many years and is a remarkable performer. Use of a center filter is an absolute must. One of the things I love is the optimum aperture if F11! Also no linear distortion! Somewhat limited use because of the wide angle of view but does give me about 5-10 mm of shift even with the center filter.
