I have a canon zoom lens FD 100-200mm f/5.6 ,I need to clean the inside of the top lens .but can not get it out, does it screw out and how do I remove the hood

There is a retaining ring that you have to remove to remove the hood. Behind the hood are 3 screws that you will need to unscrew before you can remove the name ring and front most element of the lens.
