Recently purchased this as a reconditioned lens to replace the stock lens that came with my Canon Rebel EOS 1000. I am an amateur photographer so I don’t have experience to compare well with other lenses. However, I couldn’t be happier. The lens provides very crisp, sharp images. The focal length range covers probably 80-90% of what I need or want. I mostly shoot landscapes, composing them with large, contrasting areas within the whole image, but with attention to detail. Other reviews I read before purchasing gave this lens a consistently high rating, and I whole-heartedly agree.
