Lens Description: The Canon EF 28-80 f/ 3.5-5.6 USM is the first version of a low-end kit lens with a 28-80 mm variable focal length for Canon EOS film and digital SLR cameras.rnrnCanon issued five variants of the lens, each of which had two versions: with and without USM.rnrnThis first variant of the lens is considered to be the most successful. Its optical scheme had never been borrowed by the lenses of this series.rnrnIt features a convenient range of focal lengths, a very good optical quality, a fast ultra-sonic motor and very attractive price on the secondary market. All the above factors make the Canon EF 28-80 f/ 3.5-5.6 USM a real bargain as a kit lens, as well as a substitute for a kit lens.rn
