Lens Description: The Canon EF 24 mm f/ 2.8 is an inexpensive compact and light wide-angle lens for Canon EOS film and digital cameras.rnrnWith a wide angle and the lens speed of 2.8, this lens is fit for shooting in poor lighting conditions without a tripod or a flash.rnrnIt is already rather sharp at f/ 2.8. And it is very sharp from f/4 onwards.rnrnIt features quite good contrast and sharpness from f/5.6.rnrnIt is not equipped with a USM, so autofocusing is rather noisy and slow, especially in poor lighting conditions.rnrnThe Canon EF 24 mm f/2.8 does not handle very well side and back light. It exhibits a strong flare spots and pronounced chromatic aberrations. The use of a hood may markedly enhance the situation
