In 2020 I started a project where I would shoot at least one image every month on the same location and same composition. The idea was too document the changes in the landscape throughout the year. Sadly, this is the year that we got hit by covid. Due to that I'm missing one month (due to lockdown). But I still do like the result. I made a video out of it.
I tried to add the video to this post but it wouldn't allow me. I hope this weblink works:

Really a cool idea to take a picture every month and making a movie.

That's brilliant! Would maybe also make a nice image sequence (you know, in a grid of 4x3 or something like that)?

Hadn't considered that but will have a play with that. Now I'm curious about the result :-)

I watched your whole video and I really enjoyed it. It emphasizes how important quality of light and atmosphere really is to a scene!
@delange I'm contemplating on such a project myself - on my way to work I ride past a 'lonely tree' which I photograph occasionally (try to make at least one photo every month). Started this a few months ago, so still a bit to go ;-)

Glad you enjoyed it!
And yes, quality of light and atmosphere are very important in landscape photography. I have multiple images from each month and selected the "best" one for each month in the video. There even where occasions that I even didn't take out my camera because the weather conditions weren't great. But it is amazing when the weather conditions play ball... 😀

Great, looking forward to your results! Hope you post them here!
I'm thinking of doing a project like this again. It provides a goal and might help with motivation as well.

Great idea and a beautiful result!
I have the impression, you went there at the same time of day, somewhen in morning time.

Yes, the images in the video are all morning shots. I did go a few times for sunset but I prefer the morning atmosphere. Even though that sometimes means I need to get out of bed at stupid o'clock... 😀

Wonderful scenery and composition and beautiful images taken.
I guess your next project will be to go for timelapse sequences ;)

Thank you Andy.
I never tried timelapse sequences but I'm intrigued by it. Do you have any samples to share?

Great concept and really well executed.
(I wanted to make a dumb joke about how it was "ruined" by that one month you missed, but was afraid it wouldn't come across that way).

Don't worry, I like a good or dumb joke once in a while 😀 The emojis can help convey the joking part.
I actually made plans to visit that spot with my bicycle during lockdown. Sporting was allowed "in the neighborhood" of your home. Of course the term "neighborhood" was up for a stretch... In the end I didn't execute that plan as I would need to drive of in the middle of the night... with a camera bag...
