Thank you everyone for submitting your photos last week. This week's theme is of course my favourite theme, "wild animals". So, animals that occur in nature in self-sustaining populations.
It was one of my most fascinating hours, when I visited the mountain gorillas in Bwindi national park in Uganda. Only 2% of our gene are different from them. And you could feel it, when you wer sitting within the family clan of these peaceful wild animals.

Two giant male southern elephant seals battling to become "Beach Master" at Gold Harbour on South Georgia Island in the southern Atlantic, 1,500 miles east of the southern tip of South America. The seals are surrounded by a troupe of 3' tall king penguin chicks (and one adult); the seals weigh upwards of 8,800 lbs and are 18-20 ft long. The battle lasted less than 3 minutes before the "little guy" gave up.
