I hope everyone is having a great weekend! The theme this week is "a different genre." Show us some photos from a genre of photography that you don't normally shoot! I'll go first - here's a street photo that I took last month in New York City, as someone who usually photographs landscapes.

Last month, I photographed horse racing for the first time.
I don't do self portraits much. I have about three of them. This is the last one from November 2009.

I don't normally do portraits either. However, I do take time once in a while to do something special for family. As I get older I regret not making the exception more often as these special people eventually leave us. This was the last "done well" photo of this special person - hope I did it well...
And how she wanted her photo taken ... or she was messing with me.
Who knows. But we had fun ....
