An ancient pencil pine, these old timers are found in alpine areas of Tasmania and can reach ages exceeding 1200 years. I was hoping for the mist to set in and add a primeval feel but the weather didnt play ball, it just poured with rain...
The Hoh rainforest in Olympic National Park, WA. It's a cold rainforest, something I didn't realize existed. But that's kinda the climate in the pacific north west.
