Nice shot and interesting composition with the egret (Cattle I'm guessing?) out of the tree!
@jpolakphotography Cattle egrets are plentiful in the wildlife refuge I was photographing at. This was part of a series where the tree and the background added to a number of really nice body positions of the egret.
The Gallinules were plentiful as well (among heron and others). A really fun time! A firend got a better capture of a Gallinule with those beautiful wings spread with all the blues and purples showing... still many amazing shots for all of us!
But another photographer with the older version (F mount version) of the 800mm Nikon glass. He had a tripod - I made him cry with how light the Z mount 800mm weighs... but I did use a monopod - that lens still gets heavy after a few hours - worse after 12 hours!
Limpkins and more as subjects! What an amazing place!
