I think that's a great setup. It's a manual focus lens anyway, so AF is not an issue. I have the 19mm PC and it's terrific on the Z7ii.

@kwongphotographyhotmail-com Nice shots.
I think you have misunderstood. I found the TC 14II, too slow to focus when speed was essential. I photograph birds with the 500. It wasn't picking up the sorts of shots I was looking for, especially take off shots and BIF.
I don't need the TC much on the D500 as the focal length is already 750 without the TC. On the Z9 the extra reach (700) is useful, sometimes. I can flick into DX mode, if I want more reach but I'd rather do it in post.
The focus time with the TC attached on the D500, is just a little too slow for me. I stopped using it.
I was pleased to find that the Z9 focus speed with the TC attached was much improved. It is now worth taking with me again. While the TC 1.4 was not particularly useful on the D500 with the Nikkor 500F4G, it was always great on the D500 with the Nikkor 300F2.8 VRII. That was my main birding set up for several years before the 500G was part of my line up.
