Maybe this worth an article on photographilife's frontpage?
German fine art and nature photographer Sandra Bartocha uses a technique of up to ten multiexposure-shots, to create their compositions. With Nikon's mirrorless Z cameras multi-exposures unfortunately can now only be saved in the lossy compressed JPEG format (8-bit). Back in the times of DSLR the resulting composition was saved as a raw file. Now editing and finetuning is very limited. The Z6 and Z7 allows a workaround by saving as 16 bit TIFF. With the Z8 and Z9 Nikon removed this workaround completely.
In hopes of encouraging Nikon to bring back the RAW-file support for multiexposure-images Sandra has startet a petition at change.org.
Photographers interested in getting the multiexposure RAW-files back can sign up at change.org. The petiton-page explains the case in german and english.
It is important that photographers’s voices are heard and let's hope, Nikon is listening.
A good idea.
