I continue to be confused as to why Photography Life has not done an official review of these two lenses. Only field tests. Especially since there is now a review of the very difficult to obtain and more recently released Nikkor 180-600mm.

@pcassity We're publishing the 400mm f/4.5 review tomorrow! The 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S will take longer to review. I don't have a date for you on that one yet. We publish new reviews every Tuesday in the order that our members vote on.

Spencer, Thank you so much for your quick reply! I'm a new member but have been following your site for years. Much of the equipment I have purchased has been the result of your very thorough reviews!

Thank you, I'm happy to hear it! I'll try to get a copy of the 400mm f/2.8 and get it tested in the lab as soon as possible.
