I use Nikon AF-S 18-35 removed link G with my Z6 to take mainly photos of architecture outside or inside buildings and churches. Sometimes a slightly wider angle would make me more comfortable.
I am considering replacing the current lens with a Z 14-30/4 s, but I would not like to lose the sharpness of the 18-35 between 18 and 24 mm of focal length.
For example, comparing the iMatest graphs @24mm of the two lenses published by Photography Life I find the following values:
Z lens @ 24mm f4 (center-mid-corner)
3210 - 1934 - 1930
F lens @ 24mm f4 (center-mid-corner)
3366- 2404 - 1771
—————
Z lens @ 24mm f5.6 (center-mid-corner)
3265 - 2363 - 2418
F lens @ 24mm f5.6 (center-mid-corner)
3406 - 2781 - 2284
—————
Z lens @ 24mm f8 (center-mid-corner)
2720 - 2440 - 2316
F lens @ 24mm f8 (center-mid-corner)
3361 - 2942 - 1994
—————
Z lens @ 24mm f11 (center-mid-corner)
2338 - 2169 - 1975
F lens @ 24mm f11 (center-mid-corner)
3113 - 2613 - 1635
Am I wrong? Am I comparing apples and pears?
Thank you.
