The MacBook 14" with M2 Pro is great for photography. I'll be using in the field most of the time, but at home, I want larger screen space to do post. What monitors do you suggest other the Apple Displays which exceed my budget. I'm looking at between $300-500.
I use a Dell U2412M monitor for both PC and Mac Mini. In the mean time this is an old monitor and no longer available. I believe it was recommended by Nasim many moons ago. I'm still very happy with this monitor. So maybe a newer Dell equivalent with an IPS panel, in the likes of an U2422 or U2722? These are well within your budget.

@delange Thank you! I researched the U2722, and bought it. It arrives tomorrow. Are you using USB C to connect to laptop?

Yes I do connect it through USB C. However, my "old" monitor doesn't have USB C. I use an USB C to VGA adapter to connect my laptop. The Mac Mini is connect though the Display Port.

@delange I had heard that a 3rd party monitor was a pain to set up with a Mac. Not the case at all. Mac accepted it without much difficulty. Still tweaking it however. Not sure of all the settings yet. The size is perfect for my space, and the adjustments for height, angle, and rotation make it easy to adjust. Now to color and detail: color is one of tweaks I’m playing with, but, out of the box, the S2722QC provides saturated colors. Images are sharp as is text. I cannot use the full resolution of this monitor as the text in menus gets extremely small. I’m looking at Mac’s accessibility options to remedy this. Overall I’m satisfied with the monitor and would recommend it highly. Thanks.
@delange the U2722, only has one USB-C port, but two HDMI ports. Go figure??
