Today we are announcing the lucky winner of the Nikon D7100 Giveaway that we hosted until April 5, 2013. We had about 7500 candidates, but unfortunately, only one of them gets to win the camera. Rafflecopter, the platform we used for this contest generated a random number for us from the final list of candidates and the winner happens to be entrant #3818.
Well, the month of wait is nearly over. The winner of Nikon D7100 will soon be announced, with only 8 hours left to submit entries. If you haven’t yet taken part, hurry, not much time is left! You can enter the contest by clicking this link – the rest of the rules are also listed there. We want to remind you that leaving a comment under this article is necessary, but leave only one – multiple comments will result in disqualification. Make sure to type your real name and email address and write what you are planning to do with the D7100 once you win it.
An important notice: It looks like many of the participants of our giveaway are not following the instructions correctly. A number of participants are clicking the “I’m a Fan!” button in the giveaway without first “Liking” our Facebook page. Please keep in mind that you must be a fan of our site and B&H on Facebook in order to qualify for this giveaway. If you have already done all three steps to enter the giveaway, please click the “edit” link where it says “Easy entry for all photographylifeblog fans” and click the small “Like” button.
Some of our readers also reported that their comments were not accepted and the system marked the comments as spam. Please make sure not to include any links when you leave the actual comment and make sure that the comment has a couple of sentences. Leaving a single word might mark the comment as spam.

Yes, we are doing it again! In partnership with B&H, we are giving away a brand spanking new Nikon D7100 (camera body only) to one lucky reader of Photography Life! The giveaway is open to everyone and we will ship the camera worldwide to the winner (some restrictions apply, see below). We are very excited about this giveaway and we want to let you know that we will have even more rewarding giveaways and contests in the near future! The current D7100 giveaway is done to promote our Facebook pages and to increase the number of Facebook followers.
Today we are announcing the lucky winner of the Nikon D3200 Giveaway that we hosted all of last month. We had an incredible number of entries – a whopping 1648 candidates, but unfortunately, only one of them gets to win the camera. I use a random number generator by random.org for these kinds of giveaways, so it picks one number for me between 1 and the total number of entries (1648 in this case).
Mansurovs and B&H are giving away a Nikon D3200 DSLR camera kit with the Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G Lens in a Facebook contest to one lucky person. The giveaway is open for everyone and we will ship the camera worldwide to the winner (some restrictions apply, see below). This is done to promote our Facebook pages and to increase the number of Facebook followers.
Here is what you need to do to enter the giveaway
1) “Like” the Photography Life Facebook Page:
Yesterday’s Nikon vs Canon vs Fuji in a studio post was a fun one. We have received close to 100 responses from our readers (with the Facebook fan page combined), most of whom gave a wrong answer! Well, granted the game was totally random and there was just no way to tell for sure which one is which. Except for the Fuji, I think, which I kind of gave away a little talking about its great skin colors.
We had a total of 6 readers that gave the right answer and I had to pick one random winner among the six – the person will receive the Westcott 43″ Collapsible Umbrella Flash Kit with Stand, a great off-camera flash photography kit!
So, which image was shot with which camera? Here is the answer:
Due to non-stop travel and my hectic schedule this summer, in addition to finishing up some articles and reviews, I have not been able to announce the winner of the last contest from B&H. First, I was holding off on the contest winner announcement, because we still had one last workshop to run. But due to various circumstances, the workshop had to be cancelled and I never had the chance to do it again. Therefore, I decided to go ahead and announce the winner. So here we go.
And the winner is… (drums rolling) comment #44, which happens to be Sally Clark (sallycphotography.com). Congratulations Sally, you won a $250 gift card from B&H. I will be contacting you via email for your contact information. Your $250 gift card will be sent to you by mail directly from B&H! By the way, I love your infant pictures – you have a great talent. The girl with glasses on the front page of your site is adorable!
We will soon host another giveaway, so stay tuned! Off to writing my long overdue Nikon D5100 review.
I am happy to announce that B&H Photo Video is giving away a $250 gift card prize in a B&H contest (see rules below). The winner will be announced after our last photography workshop (18th of June, 2011).
In addition, Lola and I are planning to give away a couple of great prizes to those who make it to the workshops. Please make sure to glance at our schedule update post periodically, as some of the details might change. I will be emailing those who signed up in advance and will let you know if there is a change of venue or time, etc.
So far we have had one small workshop called “Introduction to Photography Workshop” at the Roxborough State Park and although we did not have a chance to record the session, it went great and we went through the photography basics in approximately 4-5 hours. The next two workshops will be conducted this coming weekend, on June 11th and 12th (Landscape and Portrait/Wedding Photography) and the final workshop will take place on June 18th (Flash Photography).
Here are the B&H Contest Rules:
- Post a comment below with a list of items you would buy from B&H. Something like “I would love to buy a Nikon 50mm f/1.4G lens with a filter” or you can put a list of the gear you want to buy as a list.
- Make sure to use your real email address in the contact form – otherwise we won’t be able to get in touch with you.
- The contest is open to anyone – the gift card number will be emailed to the winner.
- You do NOT have to buy the items you list in your comment from B&H.
And the winner of the “I Will Build Your Photography Blog Giveaway” is comment #24 by Jered Gruber! I am very excited to have the opportunity to build a blog for an aspiring photographer/journalist, who apparently writes for magazines and websites.
If you remember, the purpose of this giveaway is not only to help one person, but to try to help every photographer that wants to have a blog. During this process, I will be taking snapshots of every step, so that I could then lay it out for everyone else to do it on their own.
Here is Jered’s comment:
I’ve been a long time reader and greatly enjoy your photographic and writing work. I would very much like the chance to get your help on a photography blog.
I’m currently living in and traveling around Europe with my wife. We saved up as much money we could around our wedding, got plane tickets, and made the jump. We bought a car, and now we’ve taken to a nomadic lifestyle of sorts, staying with friends here and there, trying to pursue our goals and see what happens. I’m a cycling journalist, I write a lot for different magazines and websites, but my main goal is to push my photography forward, not just in cycling, but hopefully in other genres as well.
I’ve posted thousands of pictures to my Flickr page, and I do have my own website, but I’m not sure how to make the juncture between the two. I would greatly love to combine the two, as I’m beginning to see that it would be a much better solution.
Anyhow, thanks for your generous offer. I think we’re all very grateful for your help.
Congratulations Jered! I will send you an email, so please respond as soon as possible so that we can get started.
And to those who did not win – please do not get disappointed! Hopefully my guide will be detailed enough for you to be able to do it yourself and I will do my best to help along the way.
