We recently ran a giveaway with our friends at Nero Trigger and although I messed up the giveaway announcement date (originally posted as September 5, but it was supposed to be September 12), for which I apologize, we still had great participation from our readers with a total of 932 entries. After eliminating the cheaters and duplicate entries, we used a random number generator to pick the winner.
In celebration of the launch of the new MIOPS camera trigger, which we wrote about earlier, our good friends at Nero Trigger want to give away the current version of the trigger ($199 value, read our in-depth review) to one lucky PL reader! To enter this giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment below with your email address (so that we could contact you) and we will choose a random winner on September 12, 2014. Must be at least 18 years old to enter. Giveaway is open to all countries! Only one entry per person.
Thanks to our friends at Fstoppers, we also organized a Nikon D610 / Canon 6D / Sony A7 Giveaway, which ended on Christmas, just like our Fuji X-E1 kit giveaway (congrats to Charles Lennox once again!). This giveaway was much bigger than the Fuji one, because we received a total of 33523 entries (Facebook and non-Facebook participants combined). Actually, the number was much bigger than that (over 40K), but all those were fake accounts that were disqualified. With all the fake email addresses from yahoo.de, inbox.ru, mail.ru, bk.ru, gmail.com and hotmail.com, and a boatload of freshly created Facebook accounts, it took me a while to clean up the list to make it fair to all real participants.
Our giveaway for the Fuji X-E1 + 18-55mm lens kit is now over. While I thought I could manage to pick a winner last night, sorting through all the comments (for non-Facebook participants) and entering them into a spreadsheet and then eliminating all the fake entries (there were many!) took me a while for both giveaways that are taking place. Lastly, I had to contact the winners and get their response for confirmation purposes. As before, I used the services of random.org to pick a random winner among all of our readers and Facebook fans. The total number of entries for this particular contest were 9373. So with the drums rolling, let’s see who the winner is:
We are very excited to announce yet another great Facebook giveaway and this time we are partnering up with our friends at Fstoppers to do it. The winner will have a chance to choose between three different cameras: Nikon D610, Canon 6D or the new Sony A7 full-frame mirrorless camera! We are approaching the end of the year, so we decided to give this one away on the Christmas Day, similar to what we are doing with our Fuji X-E1 giveaway. So you have exactly one month to participate in this awesome contest! The contest is open for everyone, not just US residents.
We were so impressed by the Fuji X-E1 (see our detailed review) that we decided it is time to give one away. Once again, we are happy to announce yet another giveaway for our loyal readers. As before, this is a Facebook giveaway designed to increase our presence in social media. And as before, this giveaway is open to anyone, not just US residents.
It has been long, but the winner is here! We had a total of 6114 eligible participants in this giveaway. Since this was a Facebook giveaway, most of the participants were from Facebook. However, thanks to the feedback that we received from our readers, we also manually included those that complained about not having Facebook accounts from our giveaway page. After eliminating some of the duplicate entries (174 people were disqualified as a result), I pulled up all the names on an Excel spreadsheet, then typed 1-6114 at random.org, which gave me the lucky number – 839:
Today we are announcing the lucky winner of the Nikon D7100 Giveaway that we hosted until April 5, 2013. We had about 7500 candidates, but unfortunately, only one of them gets to win the camera. Rafflecopter, the platform we used for this contest generated a random number for us from the final list of candidates and the winner happens to be entrant #3818.
Well, the month of wait is nearly over. The winner of Nikon D7100 will soon be announced, with only 8 hours left to submit entries. If you haven’t yet taken part, hurry, not much time is left! You can enter the contest by clicking this link – the rest of the rules are also listed there. We want to remind you that leaving a comment under this article is necessary, but leave only one – multiple comments will result in disqualification. Make sure to type your real name and email address and write what you are planning to do with the D7100 once you win it.
