The End of the Year Deals are Not Over

Looks like the holiday deals are not over. This time, it is the Nikon D7000 that goes on sale, with more goodies from B&H to sweeten the deal. While I do not consider this as good of a deal as the Nikon D600, it is still a pretty good sale for those that do not want to part with their DX lenses and stick with the APS-C sensor. This sale is a good indication that the D7000 will be replaced pretty soon, probably in Q1 of 2013. If you would like to check out my thoughts on the D7000, see my Nikon D7000 review that I published a while ago.

Great deal! It goes to show how fast camera bodies lose their value. I bought the body-only 2 years ago for $1400 (ouch).

I had a friend that’s visiting the U.S. order a D600 + kit 24-85 VR lens for me since I am far away in Asia. To my amazement he received the package almost instantly (must have been shipped before sundown on Friday). My success or failure in selling the 24-85 lens (I have absolutely no plans to use it) will determine whether I applaud or curse you for posting this special deal. Can’t wait to put this camera though its paces with the 70-200 f/4 VR lens.
